Known previously as YogaBugs Australia, KidsVentures specialises in the development, sale and support of child centric business opportunities whilst providing a resource for parents, educators and business.

When trading as YogaBugs Australia, we saw many people who were ideal for the business but found the YogaBugs financial commitment placed the opportunity out of reach.  KidsVentures have made the conscious decision to create a model that brings the business in reach of as many people as possible with an ongoing commitment that is affordable and consistent.

KidsVentures first offering, Calm4Kids, is a fun and engaging, yoga inspired program for children, delivered under a franchise model.

What does this mean?  For an investment far less than a family holiday and an ongoing weekly fee less than a night out for dinner, you can own your own business, changing children’s lives for the better.

Ten Tips In Deciding If Franchising Is For You

Some people believe a franchise is a money-making machine. In theory, anyone can run one successfully – all anyone has to do is get on with it – execute, exploiting the turnkey convenience.

But running a franchise, like running any business, is hard.  Find out what mindset you need to avoid bust-ups and make franchise ownership work for you. Above all, experts agree, stick with the program – there’s a reason you never see “Golden Arches” painted pink.

  1. You need to be passionate, enthusiastic and resilient. Do not expect to be “helped hand and foot” – low initiative derails franchisees.
  2. You also need to be a team player. If you are good with people – empathetic – then you can handle the sales side, as every franchisee must.
  3. Your outlook should be “task-oriented”. Know how to follow a pattern or program. You must be able to focus.
  4. You must be resourceful, ensure that you have enough funds to handle the early growth phase and to cover any hiccoughs.
  5. You need to be willing to take a step back – let the system be your guide,
  6. You should follow the system. The number one reason that franchisees do not succeed is because they are not following the system. It is a weird situation that many franchisees go their own way and disregard the system that they may have paid thousands of dollars to join.
  7. You should be fluid and willing to comply with dictated change because sometimes in a franchise group, a vital business decision beyond your control gets made. There is no point sitting around complaining about a change that you can’t reverse.
  8. Focus on taking control of your education, good franchisees are studious, you should research, read, follow podcasts and seminars, even hire your own coach. Don’t just wait for the franchisor to teach you.
  9. Share what you learn – be “abundant”, The more you share skills and know-how – the more you say what works and what doesn’t – the better.
  10. Finally, be prepared to put on the blinkers and ignore distractions.  Forget how other franchisees are faring, and concentrate on running your own business.
